Sunday mischief

February 4th, 2008

First, we stopped by Weaver Street to get mommy caffeinated after a long sleep-inducing walk ‘round town. The morning naptime didn’t last long (some clanging shopping carts) and soon the beast was awakened.

We made our way home to get some grub and play in the baby-proofed zone. Someone has become quite adept at escape artistry and has more interest in cabinets than food.

Of course, in this picture he’s reaching for the only thing in that cabinet that is not okay to touch, the box grater. I closed the cabinet door to get his attention (the darkness). Much to my dismay, this had the opposite effect of getting him all excited about opening and closing the door. Definitely not claustrophobic.

At 330 we had an appointment at the “Genius Bar” at the apple store to checkout getting the loose connection on our 7mo old laptop fixed. Because there is a dent on the corner from when our very new, very expensive laptop case strap broke a few weeks in (6 months ago), they declined to cover it and essentially said our Applecare warranty is garbage now. Avery was rightly very angry in the Apple store, so we defected over to the Barnes and Noble to check out the kids books. He found the Elmo books (cringe) much to his liking and was much happier hanging out around the train set, mesmerized by the slightly bigger kids he tried to chase around the table.
