Busy Weekend

He really likes the blueberry and cheese danishes from Guglhupf.

Guglhupf Sunday Om nom nom nom. Guglhupf

Friday there was a crazy thunderstorm with marble sized hail. Saturday started with a trip to the strawberry farm, brunch at one of the daycare kids house, lunch with friends at weaver street, surprise going away party for a friend in the afternoon, followed by a temporarily quiet mommy and daddy coffee break while the little man slept. He was all tuckered out after all the playing with other people’s toys and dancing to show off at the surprise party. Sunday started out with running up and down the hallls at Carr Mill followed by breakfast at Guglhupf in Durham and a lazy day until a graduation party for a friend. Avery throughly enjoyed all of it and we discovered two things: 1) he is really outgoing and 2) he like to get down and boogie.

Yum!

Avery has had a ton of foods now. We’ve moved onto yogurt, eggs, chicken, and hes even had a little bit of fish.

Thing he does NOT like:

Thing he LOVES:

Are you sensing a trend here (sweet)? He is a very spoiled baby since I make most of it for him. I mean, in the freezer right now is: apples and figs, avocado and banana, pumpkin (roasted from fresh!) with chicken broth, and fava beans. It’s very easy to do. I wanted to ask the doctor about what we should/should not give him. Of course, I wanted to know about pumpkin seeds and pistachios, and he was like “I have no idea, most people just want to know about normal foods”. Essentially, his advice is just: introduce one thing at a time and wait, different cultures consider different foods taboo for babies. The only thing off the table until a year is honey. I like our doctor.
